Castle “Berghof”, Kalnamuiza
The history of estate „ Kalnamuiza” (Berghof ) in Kuldiga district in Latvia began more than one hundred years ago.
The house was built at the beginning of the XX century by German architect Gvido de Berchi for baron fon Medem and demonstrated neorokoko – the most popular style of that time.
The estate had changed its owners so many times
and as the result of it the building lost its previous features at the beginning of the XXI century and only the ancient photographes reminded about them.
All photos and saved documents were studied by Sagraffitto designers what helped them to restore saved historical details and made missing ones anew on the base of ancient samples.
There are four levels in the building: the swimming pool, fireplace hall and baths are in a basement, the administration premises, cafe and billiards – on the first floor;
on the second floor there are representational halls: shipping, mirror, white and the hall for celebration, but on the third floor – rooms for guests.
There in Kalnamuiza, Sagraffitto designers kept the aura of recently history- uniting it with the all requirements of modern comfortable rest.
